At some point in time, cooking BBQ became more than just a hobby for WELL SAUCED BBQ founders Scott Friend and his dad, Matt Friend.

Prior to entering the KCBS in 2010, the two would make their way to smaller, local competitions. While Scott would do most of the cooking, Matt would supervise, with a beer always in his hand. After cooking for a while and deciding they were going to enter the KCBS, they decided they needed an official team name; thus the beginning of the WELL SAUCED BBQ team.

After a couple years of learning and experiencing the BBQ world, the two decided they would bring competition BBQ to small town Hastings, NE. At first, they did it out of hobby, but soon realized the demand for better BBQ supplies around the area. With a high demand for good BBQ cooking products and hardly any suppliers, WELL SAUCED BBQ became more than just a team name. In 2012, Scott and Matt began selling Louisiana Pellet Grills from their truck equipment shop; Matt Friend Truck Equipment.

 

Hastings, NE was about to experience BBQ like never before.

Soon after, they decided selling grills and pellets just wasn't enough. The people of Hastings literally needed some "spice" in their lives. The very first line of seasonings and sauces WELL SAUCED BBQ carried was from KOSMOS Q BBQ Products & Supplies. Since then the store has only expanded... along with the teams trophy case. The store now consists of over 30 different brands of seasonings, sauces, marinades, you name it! And also a variety of grills, grilling supplies, etc.
